Terms of Service

Last updated: July 20, 2026

By using SMSS.net (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What the Service is

SMSS.net provides free, shared public phone numbers that display received SMS messages in inboxes anyone can view. You do not rent or own the numbers, and you get no exclusive or private access.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Commit fraud, launder money, or process stolen payment information;
  • Evade a suspension or ban on another platform;
  • Impersonate any person or organization;
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others;
  • Violate the terms of the services you sign up for; or
  • Break any applicable law or regulation.

The Service is intended for lawful, low-stakes verification and testing only.

3. No privacy on public numbers

You acknowledge that all messages received on our numbers are public. Do not use the Service for banking, payments, account recovery, or any sensitive or personal purpose. We are not responsible for anyone reading messages sent to a public number.

4. No guarantees

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that:

  • Any particular number will be available or keep working;
  • Any message will be delivered, on time, or at all;
  • A given service will accept our numbers.

Numbers rotate and are reused; a number may be rejected by a site that has already seen it.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMSS.net is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any account created with a public number.

6. Changes

We may modify the Service or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
